Coming from Microsoft Money, the one feature I really miss is a way in which to standardise transaction descriptions more easily via an intellisense type mechanism, and to modify the category according to the user choice.
eg, a transaction named "Southern Sub Nb8123 Clare" I know is actually "Synergy Pharmacy" with a Category of Healthcare.
Ideally, I would like an intellisense lookup on the description where I type "Syn..", and the "Synergy Pharmacy" comes up as a choice and defaults the category to what was previously chosen for that description.

Hi Hendri,
Thank you for your suggestion. We are always looking for great suggestions like yours in order to evolve.
I will pass on this suggestion to our Developers to look at implementing.
All the best,
I still use MSMoney - that is one hard drug to let go off!
Tied to this, some recurring debit orders, always seem to have descriptions every month (the last bit of the description) even though its from the same provider and the amount matches a previous amount. I notice this with a few insurance company debit orders. Surely the intellisense system can look at perhaps just the first part of the description and if it finds a matching amount already in the history - can allocate it directly to the previously chosen category e.g. insurance . Since insurance amounts for most people only change once a year .. could be quite useful to build.
This should also be extended to how previous transactions are split/categorised. I could have a one debit order for insurance, but it includes Home/Car/ Cellphone, etc. I need to split this amount each time every month to ensure accurate budget. If I have split a certain payee before, perhaps it can be done for all future transactions. Allow us to choose an option - apply for future transactions of same amount or for the same payee (split proportionally)
Hi Manish,
Thanks for your suggestion. This would be great for the app indeed. I'll be happy to share this with the Product Design Team!
All the best,
So whatever happened to my suggestion. Impossible to implement?
Hi Manish,
We share all feature suggestions with our Product team, who weigh up everyone's feedback (along with our own internal business goals) to determine what makes its way into the live app. There's a lot for us to consider, so we usually aren't able to say if or when a particular suggestion will be implemented, but we do look at every individual bit of feedback to inform future product decisions :)
