Remove line items from Spending Plan

I have noticed that once off items keep lingering around for three months on your spending plan even if you change the planned amount to zero. Can you please change it so that it will remove the line item from your spending plan screen if you plan to spend zero on that item in the month to come. it should not use the 3 month average rule to determine if the line item must be present or not.

Thanks for a great app. Changed my life.

  • Hi Dirk,

Thanks for sending through your feedback! I'm really happy to hear you're enjoying your 22seven experience :)

Currently, a category will remain in your Spending Plan indefinitely as long as you've set a manual planned amount (budget) for that category - even if it's an amount of R0. Often, customers will specifically set planned amounts of R0 for categories they don't wish to spend any money in over the course of the month, so implementing that rule would remove valuable information for some customers. There are of course other avenues we could investigate to hide unused categories from your Spending Plan, though, so I'll certainly share your feedback with our product design team for consideration.

Please let us know if you have any other thoughts in the mean time! We love hearing from customers ;)

  • Hi,

A hide function would be very useful. Thank you for the quick reply.

  • Agreed. Additionally, if you added manually added the category there should be the opportunity to hide the category again instantly.
