The blue dot that, as I understand it, is supposed to appear only when you have unread nudges in your nudge box does not disappear even when all nudges have been read and deleted.

The blue dot should disappear when you've seen your Nudges. I checked and do not see any issue with this at the moment, but logging out and back into 22seven should solve the issue.
There is no need to delete Nudges from 22seven, as they are updated whenever new data is pulled in.

Any updates on this? The blue dot never disappears and a friend who recently also started using 22Seven has exactly the same problem.
I have logged back in and out multiple times in the past couple of weeks.
