Some categories not appearing in budget?

I've got some custom categories, for example on Easy Equities, with each sale / purchase of an equity it lists the fees, taxes, etc. separately. I classify these under "Invest/Save/Repay -> Investment Fees", while the purchases of the actual equity is counted as "Investments".

"Investments" appears in my budget but the fees and taxes etc that I've separated from them don't. Is there a way to add them?

  • Hi James,

As it stands now, your Budget will only display transactions from your transactional accounts - i.e. your current, savings, and credit/store card accounts.

So, any transactions from your investment accounts will not display in your Budget. However, they are still accessible via the detailed account card and the Transactions page.

Since you would have no transactions in your Transaction Fees category, it would not display in your Budget until your transactional accounts were categorised as such.

I hope that this clarifies the issue, but if you have any further feedback, please feel free to let us know.

  • Thanks. I would like to use 22seven to more easily visualise what the investment charges are actually costing me, this is not as easy as I'd like but I guess it will work.
